The graveside service will be May 31 for Steven Warren
Overton of Eugene, who died May 23 in an automobile accident.
He was 47.
He was born Feb. 27, 1955, in Eugene, to Fred and Alice Bush
Overton. He received his high school GED and attended Lane
Community College for three years.
He worked as a case manager for Sponsors Inc.
His interests included community outreach, family and friends,
gardening, hunting and fishing. He was president of the Clean
and Sober Motorcycle Club and a member of Narcotics
Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. He had maintained 12
years of sobriety.
Survivors include his mother of Creswell; two daughters,
Melanie Overton of Springfield and Alesha Ebert of Eugene; two
sons, Steven Jr. of Veneta and Joshua of Springfield; three
brothers, Ben of Pleasant Hill, David of Creswell and Tom of
Eugene; two sisters, Susan Stafford of Creswell and Wanda
Emerson of Eugene; and 11 grandchildren.
Friday's service will be at 11 a.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens,
Eugene. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in charge of
arrangements.
