Adding passenger pegs to the KZ1000P:

I've had several people ask me about how and where to mount passenger pegs on the KZ1000P.
The following pictures show how I did it.  It should be noted that these pegs are designed as highway pegs that normally mount to the crash bar on the front of a motorcycle and are used only as supplemental pegs.  They are not designed to support the full weight of a full sized person.  It is recommended that they not be used to mount and dismount from the cycle, only as footrests when the motorcycle is moving.  For stronger pegs, I would suggest welding on a set of pegs from a parts cycle.  These highway pegs are available from most local motorcycle shops and catalogs.

I used clamp-on pegs and mounted them to the frame as shown.  It's a very tight fit, but it works.

Here's a closer view of the other side.  You will want to make sure that you tighten the bolts down
securely.  I would suggest using at least a grade 5 bolt or better, a grade 8 bolt.  You should be able to get a pair of bolts from your local auto parts store.
Yes, it has been a while since the bike was washed.

Here it is from another angle.
